My name is Diarmuid McCarthy, and I'm based in Watergrasshill, Co. Cork.

I have a background in Education. Through my knowledge and experience with technology and learning I have developed a keen interest in the area of eLearning.

Over the past 4-5 years I have been working on projects ranging from simple instructional videos, to interactive blended learning courses.

I have mastered key eLearning authoring tools such as Captivate, Final Cut Pro,  Adobe Creative Cloud etc. and I'm always interested in developing new skills.

I have been working with HTML5 and Flash for the last few years, and I have good experience into the eLearning standards such as SCORM and xAPI (Tin Can).

I find with eLearning that developing the content is almost the easy part. The more challenging part is effectively delivering the eLearning to the learners. This ranges from choosing the correct Learning Management System, deciding on a correct delivery method (instructional video, interactive modules, blended learning etc.), reviewing the learners reaction to the course and evaluating the level of learning that has occurred.

I have both theoretical and practical experience with dealing with all these issues and relish the challenge of coming up with solutions for different types of projects.
